Pastor Rey has been serving at CrossLife since its inception in 2013. He is a graduate of Christian Life College in Mt. Prospect Illinois. He has a passion for discipleship and evangelism. He loves spending time with his wife Lymari, daughters Kiara and Janell, son Darian, and grandsons Ivan and Asher.

Dr. Augustine Akalonu

Elder

Dr. Akalonu has served as an Elder at CrossLife since 2016.  He comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge. He served as the Executive Director of the Urban Youth Alliance  Inc. for many years.  He has a pediatric  medical practice in the Bronx, NY. He is an avid golfer and a lover of the King James Version.

Andrew Johnson

Elder

Andrew has served as an Elder at CrossLife since 2020.  He and his wife Beverly lead up CrossLife's prayer team. 

desiree Hernandez

Elder

Desiree has served as an Elder at CrossLife since 2026. Desiree previously served CrossLife as a Deacon. She has been active in all areas of ministry and is part of the worship team at CrossLife. She is the loving wife of Miguel, and mom to her awesome son Emmanuel. 

T.J. Cacho

Worship Director

T.J arrived at CrossLife Church in the midst of a global pandemic in 2020. He has grown the worship team and has a caring, loving, and prayerful approach to worship ministry.

Lymari Maldonado

Children's Ministry Director/ Financial Board

Lymari has served as the Children's Director since the inception of CrossLife in 2013.  She is devoted to her CrossLife Kids and loves teaching and nurturing them as well as directing annual Christmas Cantata's. Lymari is also on CrossLife's financial board.

Carl Pascarella

Head Deacon

Carl has served as a Deacon at CrossLife since 2022.  Since Carl and his wife Terri arrived at CrossLife Carl has always been willing to do behind the scene work in the church, especially when it comes to maintenance and upkeep of the building. Carl works in construction by day and is a loving husband, father and friend  day and night.

Jose Castro

Deacon/ Financial Board

Jose has served as a Deacon at CrossLife since 2022.  Since his arrival at CrossLife he has  been involved with the daily operations of the church property. His experience as an FDNY firefighter and home inspector helps CrossLife with safety and operational procedures. Jose's family consist of wife Jahaira and daughters Abby and Rachel. Jose also serves on CrossLife's Financial Board. 

Jahaira "Jay" Castro

Deacon

Jay  has served as a Deacon at CrossLife since 2023.  She currently leads our Cleaning Ministry Team, as well as our weekly Coffee Connection. Along with Husband Jose, the Castro's help with the day to day operations of the ministry. 

Miguel E. Lluesma

Deacon/ Financial Board 

Miguel has been a member of CrossLife since  2016. He joined the both the Deacon and Financial Boards in 2026.  Miguel is an attorney and  has been instrumental in moving CrossLife forward by helping draft policies and procedures for the development of the church. He is married to Esthefany and is active in all areas of ministry especially life groups. 

Adner Argueta

Deacon

Adner has been  a member of CrossLife since 2024. In 2026 Adner joined the Deacon Board. He is active in the Media Ministry as well as the CrossLife Community Outreach.

Steve ramer

Deacon

Steve has been  a member of CrossLife since 2022. In 2026 Steve joined the Deacon Board. Steve truly has a servants heart and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. He is active in all areas of ministry but is especially devoted to the CrossLife Community Outreach where he serves faithfully with his loving wife Marcia.

Nerlande "Landy" Gilbert

Landy is one of two remaining  founding members of  what would become CrossLife Church. She has been a constant steady presence since CrossLife's inception. Landy joined the Financial Board in 2026.  

Ivonne rodriguez

Ivonne has been a member of CrossLife since 2016. She formerly served as a Deacon and has been on the Financial Board since 2026. Ivonne is a retired NYPD Sergeant. She serves on the Coffee Connection Team and is active in Lifegroups.
